Most people assume that a panorama is a simple process of cropping a regular photograph from the top and the bottom. But when you are a hotel and you want convert a website visitor into a paying guest, a simple cropping of a photograph just won't cut it! A true panorama virtually places your website or presentation viewer inside your property. It gives the visitor the view that you want them to see.

The virtual tour or virtual reality or panorama photographer, not only has the right tools but more importantly adequate knowledge and experience to create a truly immersive experience for the viewer. Spherical panoramas require specialized equipment to meet the stringent requirements of this type of photography. Having this in hand is just the first step. Tuning this equipment to create a virtual tour is the second phase of this process. The final part of this type of photography is the most crucial and happens before the shutter button is clicked on the camera. And that lies in where the photographer places the camera!

Once the series of images is taken, the long process of optimizing (for dust spots, colour correction, HDR merging), cleaning and stitching the panorama comes into play with the right software. Finally this material is converted into a 'movie' for your viewer to enjoy. A virtual tour is a group of these movies linked to each other via hot spots within each movie.

While specializing in hotels, products and food, his diverse portfolio includes landscape, events, life, fashion and portrait photography. Catering primarily to the cities of Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman, Charles is also willing to travel to the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah & Umm Al Quwain for assignments.
